I adopted my dog as a puppy in 2024 as an emotional support companion. His mom is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, the dad is a mystery, and my dog is a whopping 15 lbs now. My mom likes to joke that my dog is the one who needs the emotional support because of his separation anxiety. He goes with me almost everywhere. I even put him in a backpack style dog carrier for trips to the grocery store, then do my best to ignore all the “Aww cute dog!” comments.
My dog is completely chill about going with me to firework shows, but the wind at night will set him off barking and growling.
